Kidist Bekele (she, her)
Program- Master of Science in Data Analytics
Bio- In her free time, I enjoy reading, watching shows, and spending time with friends.

Emma Bowman (she/her)
Program- International Affairs at ESIA
Bio- Emma has interests in Asia, international security, and geography. In her free time, Emma loves to crochet, listen to music, reading, and making puzzles.

Tigist Demeke (she/her)
Program- Master's of Public Health
Bio- Tigist research interests include chronic and infectious diseases. In her free time, she enjoys reading (mystery and fiction), running, journaling, spending time with friends and family, and rewatching shows on Netflix

Logan Felton (she/her)
Program- Master's in International Education in the Graduate School of Education and Human Development
Bio- Logan is studying ways to make international education opportunities approachable and accessible to everyone. Outside of classes, Logan loves to travel, visit museums, and paint (badly.) She is on a mission to find the best coffee shop in the city!

Myrka Guevara (she/her)
Program- B.S. in Nutrition and studying Public Health
Bio- Myrka is originally from Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Nutrition. Some of her hobbies include baking, cooking, and listening to music (specifically Taylor Swift). Other things she loves are chocolates, watching reality TV, coffee, and exploring the city with her sister and friends!

Odia Kaba (she/her)
Program- PhD in Public Policy and Public Administration
Bio- Odia specializes in program evaluation with interests in health policy, and economic inequality. Outside of academics Odia enjoys basketball (Go Suns!), reading, and cooking.

Hana Kilani (she/her)
Program- M.S. in Engineering Management
Bio- Hana enjoys exploring how to maximize efficiencies from both an engineering and a business perspective through the exposure to economic, finance, and cost concepts. In her free time, Hana enjoys exploring new restaurants, cafes, working out, and cooking.

Ahnah Lewis (she/her)
Program- Public Policy Program int he Trachtenberg School of Public Policy
Bio- Ahnah is interested in exploring how policy and social welfare intersect. In her spare time she enjoys reading and going to see her favorite music artists in concert.

Gretel Nabeta (she/her)
Program- Rehabilitation Counseling
Bio- Greta is a third year master's student. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2023 with a BS in psychology. Some qualities that you can expect from her coaching style are: motivational, empathetic, gentle, occasionally blunt, but always genuine. Outside of work and school - her hobbies include reading, embroidery, being active, and cooking.

Aliza Nazir (she/her)
Program- PhD in Counseling
Bio- Aliza’s research interests focus on social-emotional development in children with autism and intellectual disabilities, and she’s passionate about bridging research and practice to expand access to affirming, culturally responsive mental health care for children and families. When she’s not working, she loves reading, playing video games, and working out.

Jessika Patel
Program- M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Bio- Jessika truly loves every moment of the journey! Her goal is to become an effective and compassionate professional counselor, and she is especially passionate about working with children of immigrants, supporting individuals with anxiety and mood disorders, and advocating for her clients and their unique needs! In her free time, Jessika enjoys reading, watching sitcoms, painting and drawing, cooking, dancing, and spending time with friends!

Yonathan Shimelis (he/him)
Program- Master's in Data Science
Bio- Yonathan is from Burtonsville, MD. Fun fact: He was born on Halloween.

Angel Sun (she/her)
Program- Master's of Public Health
Bio- Angel research interests pertain to biotechnology and clinical medicine. My passion is working with pediatric patients in specialities like plastic/trauma surgery. In my free time I love to travel, read, and go to pilates or cycling classes.

Alex Taylor (she/her)
Program- Masters of Organizational Sciences
Bio- Alex is particularly interested in the effects of AI on organizational culture and its impact on existing prejudice. In her free time she enjoys visiting art museums, completing puzzles, traveling, and watching historical dramas!

Camden Thorngate (she/her)
Program- MA in International Education
Bio- Camden specialty is education in conflict zones and emergencies. Before GWU, she was a Peace Corps volunteer in Armenia, where she taught English. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading books with unreliable female narrators, and curating hyper-specific playlists.

Henry Twagirayezu (he/him)
Program- International Economic Policy
Bio- Henry’s research interests are in global financial governance, trade and investment policy, and the intersection of economics and national security. In his free time Henry enjoys writing, reading, bike riding, and painting.

Eleanore Yarbrough (she/her)
Program- Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling
Bio- Eleanore loves music, she eats chocolate most days of the week, and she was the captain of her high school bowling team.
